Tetsuji Yamazaki - General Manager
Prior to joining Starwood Hotels, Tetsuji Yamazaki worked for Hotel New Otani, Holiday Inn Tokyo
Kunitachi, and The New Sanno Hotel in Tokyo, Japan. He later became a Japanese Language Specialist for the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii.
In 1997 Yamazaki joined ITT Sheraton as Guest Services Manager for Sheraton Maui Resort and has since held several leadership roles including Front Office Manager, Director of Property Operations, and was Hotel Manager at the Maui resort. He served as interim General Manager for Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa until his promotion to General Manager.
Yamazaki, who now oversees all aspects of operations, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Sophia University in Japan and a Master of Professional Studies degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Christi Lewis -Director of Sales and Marketing
Christi Lewis has been tapped to lead the resort’s sales and marketing efforts. She spent the past six years as regional
director of group sales for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Hawaii. Previously, she spent two years on the Big Island as director of group sales at a major resort property. Lewis has also held various sales, marketing, catering and convention services positions elsewhere in Hawaii and at the Dana Point Resort/Marriott Laguna Cliffs in California.
Lewis, who holds a degree in Hotel and Marketing Operations from Orange County College, is a member of Meeting Professionals International, Financial Incentive Conference Planners and Na Wahine Kui Lima, a women’s diversity council.
Connie Aderinto, Director of Human Resources
Connie Aderinto is Sheraton Keauhou’s “Big Island connection” on the dynamic executive committee. Connie received her BA from the University of Hawaii at Hilo and has subsequently held a variety of human-resources-related positions at some of the top resorts on the island. Her varied experiences garnered over the years, her knowledge of the many facets of employee-related issues and management, and her relationships within the tight-knit communities of the island have been an asset to her well-deserved position as Director of Human Resources at Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa.
William Lee
Director of Finance
William Lee has been in the Hotel industry for 16 years, of which the last six have been with Starwood Hotels. His experience has been garnered from tenures at eleven properties, including his current position as Director of Finance at Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa. William's career began in 1990 at the Radisson Manhattan Beach in Manhattan Beach, California as Night
Manager. In 1995, he was promoted to Assistant Controller and within five years, he was named Controller at the Sheraton Fairplex, in Pomona, California. Los Angeles has and always will be considered home for William but, he says, in the meantime, you can’t beat living in Hawaii! An avid movie buff, William is in the perfect place on the island to enjoy his other favorite activities which are hiking, biking and jogging. William is a graduate of the University of South Florida, with a degree in Accounting.
